Fun With Snow

I LOVE SNOW! EB and I woke up this morning, and, after 3 full days, the snow was still about a foot deep. We had not taken advantage of having it around, as the sub-freezing temperatures warded off any thoughts of venturing from the confines of our domicile. However, upon our return from the HUGE bookstore in KC this evening, I got it in my mind to go snow-playing. Oh, how much I would later regret that decision. Here is a photo-mentary of the events:

3 days after the weather struck.

The bravest of the pair, I was the first to do a snow angel. Okay, EB literally had to push me down into the snow.

Look at me, I can do it too!

Immediately proceeding the frivolity.

Yes, that water is hot. No, I wasn't wearing gloves in the snow.

I believe that was the coldest my hands have ever been. I liken the pain to super-gluing one's hands together, then ripping them apart. Then repeating the process several times. And, needless to say, we both shed our frost-covered dungarees in favor of some nice comfy pajamas. Hooray for spontaneity! Tomorrow? Perhaps a snowman...

Son, your mother taught you to bundle up when you go out to play in the snow. What were you thinking? Looks like you two had a great time, though!
