Phi Kappa Phi Induction Ceremony

Today I was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honors Society (PSU chapter), whose Greek initials stand for the motto "let the love of learning rule humanity." This is the nation's oldest honors society that recognizes leaders from all disciplines (established in 1897) , and it is one of the choosiest. I am one of the few Juniors selected to receive this honor. It is a lifetime membership (but I will only be an active member as long as I pay my dues every year). Pretty neat stuff, actually, because now I am eligible for scholarships, and I have access to a nation-wide job bank if I so choose to use it.

There's me standing up front for a group picture. Sorry it's kind of fuzzy, I think Laney was getting p.o.'ed at people for walking in front of her when she was taking pictures, so she wasn't at her best.
Just kidding, Laney.

Here is a picture of my neat-o medallion with the Phi Kappa Phi seal on it. I get to wear this bad boy when I walk at graduation next year. Yeah, I'm a stud. Autographs will be offered later.

Ah, now here is a unique specimen. This is a Swiss Army Phi Kappa Phi pin that doubles as a tie tack. Eat your heart out MacGyver.

Last, but not least, here is my award certificate. It even has my name on it. Plus, who knows... maybe those signatures at the bottom will be worth money some day.

While looking up pictures of how to wear the Phi Kappa Phi chords, etc. for graduation, I happened upon your site. I'm glad you have earned it as an undergrad. It took grad school for me. Congratulations. Cool site BTW.
